3D Organoid Modelling

Our catalogue of projects include multiple organoid segmentation problems. One of which is to generate a 3D reconstruction of organoids based on organoid images gathered by using light sheet microscopy.

These images can be considered slices of paper that, when stacked together, create a coherent book. We can do this over multiple resolutions, and over an additional time dimensionality as well.

To give you an example of this process, you can find one of these organoid videos, capturing the organoid on a singular timestamp. And the corresponding interactive 3D model created from it. Note, the 3D model has been made to have significant lower visual fidelity to improve performance in your browser.
